I think it would be pretty cool to have a goon towing a player controlled glider.

This is a retarded idea. The CG-4A Waco when being towed by a C-47 had a top speed of about 120 mph. Not to mention the turning radius of a B-29 on WEP at 30,000ft.

The idea of a map capture is to get the troops there QUICKLY and STEALTHILY.

Tell me, why would you take an already slow airplane of 240mph and slow it to 120mph for a capture? And also, increase its visual target for enemy fighters. The Waco was an awesome idea for D-day invasions. It is a horrible idea for the LWA.

To suggest things that do not meet this basic criteria is equal to masturbation.  It may feel good to you, will not produce any tangible results, and you may be embarrassed if you get caught.

Doesn't make the idea "retarded"

yes it does when you consider that the troops needed to take will increase.  so you bring two planes are a slower speed for no gain whatsoever.  retarded.

I think taking the major speed hit should warrant double troops.

You will have to be skilled enough to land that makes the whole idea skilful , if you hit a tree for example or don't get close enough to town so the approach will be most important p :uhoh
