I guess babybone had a bad day. Quite frankly this thread provided many laughs for me... (including at my own poor typing skills where I wrote hair instead of chair and gave the post an entirely different meaning without intending it).

Quite the contrary!!  I laughed my bellybutton off when I read his sig!  I've known Joachim since our first days in the game in the DA and he needed to be no ones apprentice...he was damn good before he ever started flying with you guys.

Lots truth spoken in this quote above. Changeup saw me up in the DA and I was still learning and he asked I would like to join his squad (back when DA squads were seperate) I said "yes". I flew with a great bunch a people for over a year (The Rowdy Ones). Then I became burnt out of the DA, and wished to join a MA squadron.


All this talk about training is kinda dumb. I give alot of credit to drbone showing me the finer points of ACM, but some  people I can give credit to like Bamboo, bruv, kazaa, yarbles, tomfool, krupnski, spek, Grizz (kicking my ass), sunsfan always great fights, redbull, and las but not least pervert.

and this is the only form of "public acknowledgement of assistance to another" that anyone who has any personal integrity ever hopes to attain....that of the once pupil's personal public acknowledgement and gratitude of that assistance once given them. even this little bit of publicity must always come free of will and unencumbered from the pupil, it may never be requested or sought out by the "teacher". nor is it ever the "teachers" place to be the one to trumpet his assistance in a public venue.

should a "teacher" ever require or seek more "glory" than this, then they are not sharing their skills and knowledge with another for the betterment of another, they are instead doing it mearly to feed their own narcissistic ego......they are disgusting non-entities who should be denied the attention they crave by being rejected insulted belittled and ignored by their former student and the public at large.

EDIT: That being said, Jo does deserve some credit for being forth coming and honest about people who had helped him become as good as he is now. Most here were taken under someone else's wing at one time and shown the ropes. You just don't see people like Agent360/Snaphook/TC/Murdr & the many others who I spent time with boasting about how they 'helped' me or anyone else. The irony of BabyBone's sig is that hes putting his own squaddies down by calling them apprentices which has the connotation that he is still 'better'/'above' them, yet they come out to defend it. Maybe its "Top Masochists"?
