how do you paste

hi guys how do you post pics in the forum i know its somthing to do with the image tab , but my post goes blank when i paste a pic on it

I think first you should learn to "search" the message boards first. If you use the search function you will find out how to.paste pictures as well as finding out if your "idea" has been posted already.

ive been doing that since you told me too , i can only find the threads ive put on , i have some good pics i would like you too see

Make a free photo bucket account. Upload your photo there. Save it there. Then click on the IMG code. Paste it in your thread.

As it did to do this:

And this was a lot friendlier. 

Fugitive, I’ve found that search is not the greatest tool for find information that I’m looking for.  Either getting no hits or thousands of hits, who has the time.

Also, my answer was designed to teach.

I could have role him how, and if I was at home on my computer I could have given him a link to a very good write up.on these boards on how to do it.

Pointing him in the right direction gives him the opportunity to learn, a good habit to get onto especially if you plan on spending any time here in this game.

I teach professionally mostly adults, some teens, and I didn’t interpret  your answer as a teaching moment, and if you review his response, I don’t think he did either, and as he pointed out, Search does not always provide the correct answer.

I must confess, I've tried using the Search function here on numerous occaisions.  It can be very frustrating, and sometimes quite ineffective as a method to finding an answer to a question.

That said...  This particular original poster needs to temper his enthusiasm just a bit.

He could have done both and search is not the great tool that fugitive proclaims it to be.  My experience with it is that it most often returns so many hits and after reading through the first 10 or so and not finding what I wanted I ‘d look  elsewhere or ask someone directly.  

He could have offered the search idea as a solution but he could have offered up an answer as well.  

When a starving man go to a hospital they don’t  give him a book on farming, they feed him.

Pro tip. Click Search at the top of this page without putting anything in the box. Then click Advanced Search.

Now click Choose a Board to Search In. This will expand to list all the AH boards.

Deselect Check All at the bottom, then select Help and Training. Click Search in topic subjects only. Search "pictures"

Second result will be this helpful thread "inserting pictures?" http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/index.php/topic,290718.0.html

Message Age is from today back, so searching 0 to 14 days is the last two weeks.

Fugitive, this the help and training forum.  People ask questions here.  If you can't give a straight answer to someone that has a legitimate question, please refrain from posting.  All of us that have been here for awhile know that the search function has its... Ummm... Limitations... There's no reason to be condescending to someone that just doesn't know about the functions of the BBS.  

If you want to post a response to a question like that...

Give him a break, and give him a legit answer.

EDIT:  Thank you Shiv for posting an easy way for him to find what he needs using the advanced search function.

The problem is with todays "i want it now" attitude. To many people want and GET everything handed to them on a silver platter. The search function works very well, if you take the time to LEARN how to use it as Shiv seems to have done.

Jager, as this is a "public" board with in HTCs domain, I think we can leave it up to Skuzzy and the rest of the crew to decide what is an appropriate post and what is not. In fact I believe they have a rule covering this.

The OP has been spamming the boards lately. This will only make things worst for him. Now would be a good time for him to learn how to use the search properly.
