All you need is high school, go talk with you TOP tell him what you want to do. It looks like it could take up to a year to review your packet, and you will have to reenlist.

To apply and get a slot for WOFT you do not need college but it will give you a leg up one the people you compete against for the school slot. The army is in a draw down now so anything you do to put you ahead of your peers will help.

Like I said college is not required to apply but it is required to advance as a warrant.

It will help but not as much as you would think. I would put more emphasis on an AA, BA, or BS. Those will set you apart more.

Do everything possible to get SGT and a slot in WLC. That will help. If you know an Army flight instructor, get a letter of recommendation from them, a CW4 or CW5 will give that letter moore weight. Good luck, do not blow your chance by sitting on your packet.

yea, im really trying to make this go smoothly cause i'll be really really iritated if i dont get accepted when i submit the application. both of them have said they are all for me doing it when i get back. But then again neither of them are warrent officers so i doubt they know how picky this is.

Dont count your chain of command short, if they dont know an answer they know where to get the answer. Now this is just my thoughts take it with grain of salt, reenlist as a crew chief do one tour get promoted and get some school. Now you have letters from your pilots on up, pkus your in a related MOS.

Selino, I work in the CAB for 1st ID and I am around Warrants all day long and one of my buddies just became a Warrant. Shoot me a private message and I get you pointed in the right direction.
