Let people do what they are going to do. I'm not even a fan of the 12 hour rule. In the real world it was full of spies. Think Australian coast watchers up and down islands reporting ship and airplane movements to Allied forces as they saw them. Hard for a Japanese float plane to lift off without someone seeing it. Even in America German espionage was widely known. Not only ships leaving port, not only which Army units on those ships but addresses for the CO, XO, drunk supply sgts that could be bribed, etc. "Loose lips sink ships." This is the nature of war. While most line up like tin soldiers, others sign up for James Bond stuff. Parisian potatos who could list the personal sexual appetites for almost every German General, Colonel, etc. Sheesh!
That translates into our little world of people switching sides. I have zero problem with it. To find a balance I suppose change the "12 Hour" rule to maybe 3 minutes so there is not an instant relay of information, though this does not stop people from simply sending each other PMs with information, which I'm sure happens almost every single raid.
Who cares! Roll with the punches and hit'm in the mouth!
