You know...
« on: January 28, 2012, 09:29:51 PM »
The 88's has got to be one of the best additions to the game. Now when a cv gets parked off a field the 88 will make quick work of support ships and will eliminate the fact when you try to take off you can atleast get over 3k...

Very random post, but it just popped in my head how great they can be  :)

How?

Every time when I'm fighting someone near an enemy base I get hit.

lol I haven't even taken any damage yet from an 88mm, and I've been flying in TT 5+ hours.

I haven't been hit by an 88 yet either, but to be honest, I have been spending most of my time defending lately.

I think it's a great addition.  But since it was used as a bomber defense, I'd like to see the icon advantage  only apply to formations of bombers.
If I had a gun with 3 bullets and I was locked in a room with Bin Laden, Hitler, Saddam and Zipp...  I would shoot Zipp 3 times.

There are no 88s in TT though, they are only at enemy bases.

It's a wicked gun.  From my understanding they put it on the tiger because it was already proven capable of shooting big shells 6 miles straight up.  Now we just need them available with a tongue and axles for towing about.

I read some other posts about GV's icon range and how poor gv's get bomb tarded all the time...blah blah and how the icon range change and so forth has made it "fair"

Problem is when Im flying around tank town furballing and those 88's are firing at me while im not "bomb tarding" makes me think I will just bomb some more GV's.

Now when I fly around an airbase looking for a fight instead of upping the first thing happens is 88's start going off.....thats retarded.

On the other hand I can see how they will be very effective when defending a base against hords.

But I guess anything has good and bad points.

If I had to say good or bad about 88''s I would say good.
