I agree with those who are recommending a reinstall of Windows.  Most pc gurus advise doing so once a year as it is like "spring cleaning" for computers.  Gets rid of junk & registry changes that bog your system down.

Just be sure that you backup all important data before doing so.   Don't forget to fully update windows after.

Norton is a virus in itself..... it's worse than most any virus.

What Shuf said. Norton is pure evil.

As I stated in another thread, take your computer to a reputable shop. Have them back up your data files and reformat your hard drive.Don't reinstall Norton.

stat away from porn sites and don't answer e-mails you don't reconize and you probably won't get any virus's

That's what a good virus/pop-up/malware blocking program does. Suggest Eset Nod32. It's not freeware but worth every cent.

i dont go on porn sites , my sisters b/frnd went on one once , and instead of switching the sit of he just stwitched the monitor off , and my sister had a massive phone bill , because it was left on for 2 days , she wasnt very happy

if you really want to keep from getting virii on your computer, it very easy to do. create another user called "internet". make it a limited user account. troll the internet and check your email with that account only. you will never get spyware, malware, virii or anything else, because it doesn't have rights to do anything. problem solved.
