88mm Puffy Ack

I tested the 88mm pufy ack today by climbing up to 40k in a P38 and asking a squddie to shoot at me. No puffy ack was visible until I was within 15-16k (feet) of his gun. I know this gun can fire 12k (yards) which should be 36k (feet) and I dont know if this is a feature or bug so I thought it best to share it with you.

Will fix it with the next host reset.

Each weapon has a network range,I.E. What people see the weapon launch. The 88's are set to short (15000 ft) and just requires a host change to fix it.

But you still can be hit at longer ranges, because the shooter is doing the collision.

Got it. I thought it was probably set to something like the tanks are which I know already are limited to 5k. I tend to do a lot of base shelling obviously and figured that much out.

Are the sound's for the 88's deliberately silent if your near by a firing gun or is that a bug?

I know the other manned guns you can hear if your within ear shot.

you can hear them, just need to be close, I was sitting in a 37mm near an 88, and could hear it. it wasn't as loud as another 37 further away though
