Superbowl Halftime show
« on: February 06, 2012, 12:12:59 AM »
Turned on Super Nintendo and played supermario brothers with my son.  Then we were done, turned it off and Giants were about to kick to start the 3rd quarter.

Now THAT is a real halftime!  ;)

Watched "Restaurant Impossible" instead.  The halftime show always sucks.

I usually use the halftime show as an excuse to go make a run to the store to restock the beverages or tend to the grill a bit but since the Superbowl gathering was thrown together at the last minute yesterday morning I didn't have any of my normal excuses.  So I found myself sitting there as the lights went down and the show started.

I honestly thought the half time show was way more entertaining than the game, in fact waking up this morning and thinking about it I remember it a lot better as well.

I watched twitter's commentary on the half-time show, it was quite entertaining.

I liked the part when Madonna was frozen in carbonite.

Compared to H/T shows from say the last 15 years it was probably in the top 5.  I am NOT a Madonna fan but it was well put together.

I read my daughter her bedtimme story from the HOw To Train Your Dragon series book 8. Tis was far better than anything Madonna or anyone on TV can provide, especially since it is usually my wife that gets to do it, but she was out cold with some major stomach bug (for a day and a half). So that makes this the most memorable super bowl halftime ever for me.  :rock

I wasn't all that impressed with the halftime show and it was most definitely too long. Lots of dancing to go with the lip synching. The fireworks were nice.

I'm no Madonna fan, but I was impressed with the technical stuff they did with the stage. Were those giant OLED screens on the turf?
