The people with Guy-Fawkes mask  are a big part of the problem. Stealing folks information and posting it in public. They are not for the people.

So don't wear one of those.

Pffft.  If you have a Facebook account, an iPhone, a Droid phone and/or you run the Windows OS you have already agreed to give up any rights to privacy.  Heck, if your computer is connected to the Internet, you give up any rights to privacy.

Skuzzy, I basically consider everything I write on the internet to be public information. ACTA/SOPA however is about giving the government(s) the ability to censor what I write; to block sites they don't like and remove content. Having governments act like internet-wide moderators is a disturbing thought.

I dont really see any point in trying to protest, oppose, whatever you call it.  Through some BS loophole the government can do what it wants.  Maybe not immediately, but sooner or later, if it really wants to, it will get it done.

the idea alone is B******, everything you do will be scanned, a filter between you and the internet, and who control this? the Big companys,
so in the end they change the once free internet to something this companys want, censorship on the privat level.

And about the Guy-Fawkes masks, yes i wear one at the protest like thousand others, and i dont steal stuff and post it on the net,
the masks just stands for something, read more about Anti ACTA http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N8Xg_C2YmG0

I know what it stands for.... folks who follow Anonymous, lulsec, and such wear them. They condone the stealing of people's personal info and post it in public. They also condone temporarily shutting down sites that folks use in every day business. This affects individuals and many small home businesses.
