Saw a clip from Talking Dead about the upcoming Shane and Rick confrontation. It looks like Rick is losing the fight but Shane ends up losing the war as he's being chased by several walkers and not getting away. Of course it is "out of context" and no guaranty that Shane gets chomped but it's pretty obvious that it's coming to a head and one or the other has to go. I am going to assume hat it's going to be the final episode and a cliff hanger at that. Probably Shane running or hobbling from walkers and the screen goes to black as Rick scurries away in the other direction. This having the cliff hanger end the season or half season is getting tedious though.

I was surprised at the impalement scene. If they were planning on taking the leg off anyhow, why not just yank it off the hook like they did in the first place then run for the jeep. (those do unscrew anyhow) They could slap a tourniquet on it while driving. What the heck, other than using the axe they had no time for anything else.
DEFINITION OF A VETERAN
A Veteran - whether active duty, retired, national guard or reserve - is someone who, at one point in their life, wrote a check made payable to "The United States of America", for an amount of "up to and including my life."

First thing I thought. But, it doesn't make good TV to save a guy with a Swiss Army knife (unless he's trapped alone in a canyon and has to cut his own limb off).
My mind is a raging torrent, flooded with rivulets of thought cascading into a waterfall of creative alternatives.
Stay thirsty my friends.

It was recently made into a movie also, called 127 Hours.

Here's a link to the wiki that tells about the real story.

Damn close for me, if not my favorite.

It has been many years since I've been this interested in television, of ANY kind, to a point where I will actually systematically block off the time in my schedule to watch it.  By this I mean actually watch it, when scheduled, not DVR, etc.

Last time might have been The Dukes of Hazzard  :D

I used to watch Top Shot regularly for the first 2 seasons, but it has gotten to where its more drama MTV crap than about actual shooting.  I'll start watching it in the last few episodes when its down to about 4 people.
Now I am a huge fan of Justified.  My Tuesday nights consist of me putting off homework and watching last weeks episode and the new one for the week.  Im getting the same way with the Walking Dead.  I didnt watch season 1, and I regret it now.  I want to get netflix just for that reason.

When my oldest daughter expressed an interest in watching it with me, she also had missed almost the entire first season.  I just bought a copy of Season 1 on Amazon, was pretty inexpensive really.  Think I paid less then $20, but I am an Amazon Prime member, so your price may be a bit higher.
