Ki-27 Nate

[DMVIAGRA]

The Nakajima Ki-27 was used in the Philippines, Burma and Malaya. However, during the later stages of the Second World War it was replaced by more modern aircraft and in 1945 was used to carry out kamikaze attacks on Allied shipping.

I don't think the Ki-27 should be anywhere near the front of the line, but you do realize that it is 50mph faster than the D3A1, right?  As to the 710hp, that is not as bad as it could be due to the aircraft's light weight, it isn't like sticking a 710hp engine on a Ki-84, or even on an A6M.  From a maneuverability standpoint no other fighter in WWII would come close to it, not even the Ki-43 or A6M.

Seems like you can score a great number of victories in just about any aircraft as long as you're fighting Russians.

Ki-27 will likely never make it in the game if it does - it will be a long time, it was outdated before the war began and was being withdrawn from service before December 7th to be replaced with Ki-43s.

Some units remained as trainers, others were being upgraded.

Manchukuo Imperial Air Force flew the Ki-27b up until the end of the war and was its primary fighter type.  One was even credited with downing a B-29.

They were held in reserve in Mancheria because of the Russians correct? I know a few fighter squadrons were, can't remember them off hand.
