Pure Selfish Reasons!
« on: February 16, 2012, 04:11:32 AM »
Just received the last paycheck from Wally World. So I bought mom a new 24 inch monitor. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824009255&cm_sp=Cat_Monitors-_-Hot_Deal-_-24-009-255

She's been using a 17 inch tube monitor for years. I can't stand the thing. Yet in it's day it was quite good. Better than the 13 inch fish bowl I started out with. I think I paid 240 bucks for the same one or nearly the same about 4 or 5 years ago. It's only $140 now. With that 17 inch monitor it was scroll over, scroll up, and scroll down. Never saw the whole page on anything. I was over there last night to fix a problem mom had with getting into Zashpay. You couldn't see where to log in. Mom says there's no log in. Well yeah, the darn thing is 3 feet to the right.

Mom has been awfully good to me. My AC went out during the hot period of the summer. We all know about that. Mom paid $2,200 for a new one. I was just going to sweat it out in misery. That's part of what I owe her. That's not including all the money she has "lent" me for gas and who knows what else. Probably the most giving person I know. She also forgave about $3,500 I borrowed during my time in School while working on my B.S. and for other things. So she damn well better take it.

I know what mom is going to say. The one I have is just fine. Here you want some money for it. Geeze, that gets old. No Mom, I can't stand your 17 inch monitor. I'm doing this for pure selfish reasons.

sneak in her house when she is gone out and change the monitor then pretend you dont know what the hell she is talking about!!! just convince her that it is the same one she has had for the past 10 years!!! hahahaha

i understand you on the "Owe the Mumma" thing. about 4 years ago my moms dinosaur comp was acting up, just needed another cleaning of the drive and updates ect ect...but i said to hell with it and just told her that hers was beyond fixing, she must have caught a really bad virus or something and went and bought her a new comp, monitor ect. i did it for 2 reasons, 1 she is the mumma and it made me happy to for once do for her, and 2 cause i was always having to fix her old worn out one and i was happy to watch it go the way of the T-REX!

You got to be all ninja about it, wait till she leaves the house to go shopping or something in that nature and do a swap.

When she comes home say someone broke in and upgraded the TV.
