When I try to adjust the "Ground Detail Range" ,up or down, the mouse freezes for about 15 seconds and the says "Disabling Advanced Graphics" offline.

Thanks for the report, I found the issue.

When going back to non test version of the game wheather trying to go on or offline, I get the preloading box for about .1 seconds and then the clipboard cycles back

Did you delete the terrain?

Three things I noticed using the executable.

1.} Being within Icon range of airfeilds lowered my FPS from 59-60 to 40-50 while very few other aircraft were around. As I flew farther from the airfeild my frame rate held 59-60 looking forward but reduced to 40-50 if I looked back at the feild during auto climbout. I expect the 40's during base attacks or heavy activity at a base. While the frame rate was in the 40's there were now no micro stutters.

2.} The 1-3 second voice intitiated lockup I sometimes get became a voice stutter over VOX.

3.} The same for 1-3 second freezes that appered to be the result of something loading or processing in video.

Shadows, funny water and funny grass in/out of the cockpit turned off.
All bump mapping on.
Detail slider max.
Max range of view.
Show other plane skins off.
MaxFeildof view=110
All soundcard 3D effects disabled. Generic PCI RocketFish SB OEM.

Guncrasher: What terrain is that?

And what are your current advanced settings?

HiTech

sorry i got everything on with shadows at 2048.  and ground clutter disabled while in flight.  i forgot which terrain.  but it was in the main arena.  that same day i was playing.  I had removed all my terrain and d/l the new one d/l was pretty fast.  I relog using the normal way to log in and it went away.

hopefully sombody can identify the map based on the clipboard.  that's a pic of the lower right corner of the map.

Do you have vsync on or off?
Also have you messed with your back buffer count in the video settings?

Thanks to everyone who has tried out the test version and reported back.  We are still wanting as many people as possible to test it out.  If you can try it out over the weekend and report back on it, it would be greatly appreciated.  :salute

IN.

Downloaded and it runs.  I will play tonight.

Also, the terrain downloader was really fast and placed everything where it is supposed to be.

Let you know more as the weekend progresses.

HiTech

hitech I tested again and my 3rd monitor displays the same thing offline or online.  offline it finished downloading all the object but online there's always showing 1 not downloaded.

what it appears is that my 3rd monitor doesnt show the fulll settings like on the other two.  I checked off every option in detailed terrain and started adding one by one.  I must deselect everything then start adding 1 box at a time not untill I add the self shadows that the problem shows up on my 3rd monitor.  even if I change my view using either trakir it wont make a difference as now whatever the 3rd monitor is desplaying is in low resolution.  I should also mention that if I work my way down slowly deselecting options nothing changes unless I deselect everything. then work my way up.  hope this makes sense.

I also found another bug: if you go to video settings option in ah then you cannot have the "auto set filed of view" to auto since it displays 152 and I guess you havent changed the max setting yet.  you must set the custom field of view manually to 145.
