Played for 3 hours tonight.

No visible anomolies, no flight issues, frame rate was solid...interestingly, my video cards (SLI'd 460s) fans didn't ramp up like they normally do.  Checked the temp and it was about 8C lower than usual.  I run 1024 with everything max'd except shadowing and its because I don't like it...it runs fine.

For me it ran smooth as silk.  Nice :salute

hitech I tested again and my 3rd monitor displays the same thing offline or online.  offline it finished downloading all the object but online there's always showing 1 not downloaded.

what it appears is that my 3rd monitor doesnt show the fulll settings like on the other two.  I checked off every option in detailed terrain and started adding one by one.  I must deselect everything then start adding 1 box at a time not untill I add the self shadows that the problem shows up on my 3rd monitor.  even if I change my view using either trakir it wont make a difference as now whatever the 3rd monitor is desplaying is in low resolution.  I should also mention that if I work my way down slowly deselecting options nothing changes unless I deselect everything. then work my way up.  hope this makes sense.

I also found another bug: if you go to video settings option in ah then you cannot have the "auto set filed of view" to auto since it displays 152 and I guess you havent changed the max setting yet.  you must set the custom field of view manually to 145.

What is your max texture size set to?

at the max 2048 and self shadows at 1024.  In normal ah I have them at 2048 self shadow with no problems.

The test version defaults to 152 for me and displays 152 but if I try to set it manually I get a message for any setting over 145 as being out of range. When I set it to default it goes to 152 and I still get the out of range message. If I cancel the video setting window AH runs at what I believe is 152 since it's noticeably wider than 145.

Faster download for Montis, although not as fast as reported for others, was still a noticeable difference as I tried it with both versions.

Now, there was a problem with Custom Arenas.  I tried to upload / Create an arena and the result was loop back to Main Menu (not a bad, exit choice, because it didn't crash my connection).

I don't know if this test was supposed to include Custom Arenas,  :headscratch: but I was curious and wanted to test it along with an idea from Pokee, for "Chariots of FIRE" where everything blows up REAL GOOD  :D using machine guns.  :rock

Will be glad to test further for Custom Arenas as well if needed.  All else is running smoothly.  :salute

Potential severe glitch:  Game HANGS on change of graphic detail second slider.

I was able to increase the second slider (I believe that is the object detail range, I forget which) in order to do a bomber run with no problem.  When I attempted to reduce it again with the same slider it freezes the game.  Duplicated the problem in different maps and arenas.

You beat me to it - I just noticed the same thing.

Increasing or decreasing "Ground Detail Range" instantly freezes "acestest.exe" on my rig.

No such problem with "aceshigh.exe"

Severe hang up while using Ground Detail Range setting.  In between screen freezes, a message shows in the text buffer "Disabling Advanced Graphic Settings"

The other settings in that window function correctly.

I just ran the test version to play. I didn't look for issues or anything. I did notice that the download was faster, and while in the game the micro-freezes I was having with the latest version were almost completely gone with the test version.

When making any adjustments to scaling, stick assignments or calibration, the game kinda does what it wants to until you log and log back in.  I GV'd for a bit tonight and wanted to map a button and when I did, the GV just moved forward on its own.  When I logged and came back it was fine until I did it again and then we were off to the races.  Also, when I went to the tank gunsight, it stopped doing it without logging.
