I've shot the sub 2000 alot, nice gun good to go for a 9mm carbine. I fondled the bullpup 7.62 at the local gunshop seemed nice. I'll make a case for a cheap AR that is high quality. Smith and Wesson M&P 15 Sport.

Got mine for $630 OTD.
Features
1/8 twist ( stabilizes most rounds 55-80 gr ) 4140 steel nitrocarbonized barrel with 5R rifling full car profile barrel ( no M203 cut) ( non milspec but a beast of a barrel)
M4 feed ramps
Properly staked Gas Key and chromlined Bolt Carrier, MPI tested bolt
5.56 chamber
Proper F marked front sight
Lower with forged trigger guard with glove size opening
comes with MBUS rear sight and 1 30 round Pmag
It does not have the ejection port cover or forward assist. I got a milspec upper with both for $89.
Awesome option for a quality budget AR. Gun is good to go...... I've got alot of rounds downrange, no FTF or FTE so far.
