More interest/numbers in the arena, itself, to lead HT & Co. to believe it'll bring in more revenue if they devote time to modeling more aircraft, some vehicles and terrain features?

It didnt bring in any revenue to begin with so why would it bring in "more"?
Yes, your on "Ignore"

Someone asked what it would take for more WWI stuff to get modeled and I responded with what you quoted. 'More' refers to more revenue than what they currently draw in, overall. If more players flew in the WWI arena it would indicate that it would possibly be worth the time and revenue it takes to model some more WWI toys, either to draw in more accounts or, at least, keep the current account holders satisfied. That, I believe, is the primary motivation for HTC to model/remodel/add/change anything. I hope that clarified my post for you, since it's now taken more of my own time and resources than this follow-up post deserved.

i had an idea for, not really base capturing but trench line advancement. trenches could be set up in multiple parallel lines, with a front line and many rear supporting lines. to capture a section of line, aircraft would help target the enemy lines, while tanks moved in to hit the trench. once a certain number of allied tanks move to the line compared to enemy tanks, the the trench section is captured! Or, troops could be added, where one person controlls a squad of troops that spawn just behind the front lines. the player could control the troops just like a flight of bombers but would be able to control their distance compared to himself, in a straight line, perpendicular to his direction of advance. he could command them to fire, cease fire, and manouver them into better positions to defend from other troops or attack the trench, where, instead of tanks capturing the trench, the tanks could support the allied troops moving in the capture the trench! and a certain number of troops would need to be present in the trench to capture it.  all of this while fighters and bombers and tanks are trying to support them. and why not in lieu of anti aircraft and anti tank guns to take out, there could be maxim machine gun positons along the lines to help defend against troop attacks! alot to take in but if something is implemented similar this, it would most likely bring more support from players to play in there, over there!  :x it would be similar to the main ww2 arena but be far enough from it to be a breath of fresh air for many.

waiting for people to support an arena that has very little in it to support is obviously not working. needs to be something there to support for ppl to play in the first place!

also had an idea for the use of zepplins in the arena, use them like a flying cv! aircraft couldnt takeoff from them or land but have the zepplin take off from a base when available and attack a target, being controlled by a player in much the way a cv is controlled. fighters could protect it en route and could man guns on it. once all bombs are dropped from the zepplin, it would return to its field autimatically, preventing useless droning around the sky. could implement options for the zepplin to attack specific targets at a selected base or strat, within the zepplin (taskforce) options page. it wouldnt need to be perked and will fly at a set altitude and need to be protected to survive to and from the target.    :rock

I also thought of maybe having a ww1 senario or some type of special event. might boost support for the arena. :rock
I wonder what Hitech has to say about the future of the ww1 arena? "wink wink"  :aok

start one.  nobody is stopping you.  look around if you dont feel confident and see who's posted about ww1 and ask for opinion, but really somebody gotta be the first.  you know king of the hill that happens every week.  it was started by the 327th as a monthly squad thing.  and it hasnt stopped since 1997 or 1998 and it still goes strong.

Did not know that! i always thought it was more of an administrative role to set up special events and such. Im not exactly new to this game but i still have some things to learn as i tend to focus on having fun than anything else.  :airplane: i got plenty of squad to try to pursuade into following me for an event! :D

I've waited a more than a decade for the zeppellin's return.

I can already hear the whines of the droves who aren't willing to spend any time climbing up to one.

the zepplins dont have to be at some rediculus altitude. just high enough and just low enough.

They have to be modeled to fly at historic altitudes.

If you choose the right plane and have the same tenacity the zeppellin busters had in real life, then you will be able to down one.

If you choose the wrong plane and have zero tenacity, you get no zeppellin to shoot at.
