12v12?  Really?

Why do people settle for that kind of limited gameplay?   :bhead

I just hope I can get to run my two favorite 'Mechs someday- neither has been in a computer game yet (at least none of the ones I've played).

And I want them in these colors...

Treize (pronounced 'trays')- because 'Treisprezece' is too long and even harder to pronounce.

I hope it is a good game, but I worry about the free to play part making it too gamey.

That concerns me a bit too.

It's 3049- FedCom Forever!

(Image removed from quote.)

I'm well aware of the timeline.  A player still must chose which uniform to wear (Davion or Steiner).  And I refuse to wear a stinky Steiner uniform  :P .  There are still units within House Davion who refuse to fully abide with the Commonwealth bandwagon, I just may adopt one of them.   ;)

That is kind of why the Northwind Highlanders are so appealing, I get to play the bagpipes, swing a claymore, and drink between drops.   :aok

What was the comms exchange in the novel when they dropped on Northwind? Something like "What's that godawful noise?" and "Those the War Pipes laddie! The Northwind Highlanders are coming home!"

That looks really promising!  I especially liked it when he said that, "you aren't going to buy dominance on the battlefield".  That gives me hope that the Free2Play format won't be all about who spends the most dollars.

Hate games that are like that, I jumped out of my seat cheering at that statement, much unlike world of tanks here you can out pay your rivals  :(

I'm REALLY hoping the leagues start back up.  NBT had the best system going, imo.  It'd be nice to see Dark Phoenix get things up and running again.  :)

I'm hoping for an Aces High clan to be formed.  I'd rather be in a lance with AH folks then try to find Mechwarrior friends from that long ago.

I wonder how much House preference is governed by one's first exposure to the fictional world.  In my case it was the novel 'Heir to the Dragon' and ever since then, despite its flaws, I have been partial to the Draconis Combine.  The Federated Suns is ok too, though not the Federated Commonwealth.

I dislike the Clans.  I would be perfectly happy if their "free to play, pay for 'something'" model turned out to be "free to play Inner Sphere, pay to play Clans".

Not that I'd have any problem paying for the game if it turns out well.
