I have always loved thos birds. My grand dad was a crew chief and gunner for a PV-1 in the South Pacific.

One of the great things about that restoration is that the guy leading it keeps posting updates and answering questions.  He's really in love with that old bird :)

elsewhere on that forum, they also have "Hot Stuff" another pv-2.

Only a couple and they all are from his training and return from the Pacific. He does talk about any actual missions and my other grand father who was in the Invasion of Luzon only talks about his training and the ship rides to and from the Phillipines.
