early war fighter....
« on: March 05, 2012, 02:53:36 PM »
Just as in the title i would like to see any of the early war bids that fought back the axis until modern fighters  could reach  the fronts and also see those early fighters that tangled with them over the deserts of Africa  the jungles of Asia and the mountains  of Italy.

considering the glaring hole in the Japanese plane set, there are quite a few early/midwar planes that could be added.
here are some (some already posted)
ki-27
ki-43
ki-45
ki-46
D4Y
ki-30
H6K4

WWI arena has few regular players. Some in the community are attempting to drum up interest.

Re-2000, 2001 and 2002 in addition to Makers list.

Edit: i would LUV to see theese planes all. But...  flying them would be very boring.  The opponents would just run away and stur the stick. And i find that to be so sad. Heck even spit16s do that with my 109 G :cry

IMO the ww1 arena is not worth my time, for a game on par to aces high in that realm Ill stick to Rise of Flight. It just cant compare right now to the fights that happen in that game. I wish it wasnt so but it is.

My bad. I thought you were wishlisting things you wanted for Aces High.

You're willing to wish for early WWII but not more WWI (even though you admit you are a devoted fan of such through another game)? This is something that's probably doable with enough support. Let me add that I'm all for earlier models (of which we actually have more than a few in the game already). I'm an advocate of a Spanish Civil War planeset/terrain/arena ... though whether it'll bring in more profit for the effort is questionable.

Community influence on game development is a funny thing. Sometimes lots of noise as given over requesting something that, once it's added, doesn't fly, doesn't add more customers and wasn;t worth HTC's effort. It's a proof-pudding thing.

I'm willing to bet customers flying more of the early WWII models and flying in the Early War arena (as well as the WWI) would lead to development being focused on both. And sometimes supporting other interests can bring in support from that segment of the community for your own wishes.
