export gauge / speed data to external devices for home cockpits

Similar to IL2's DeviceLink or DCS A10 warthog.  Lots of us home 'pit folks out here who would like to display this on  Helios / Touchbuddy or externally connected gauges on an Arduino board or iPad, for example.   If there is something we can do this with now (a status file or open TCP port) I'd love to hear about it.

there was a heated debate in the bbs last year about this topic, a quick search should give you a good idea of what split the camps.

The software is a right mess to work with. The answer is "no" until it gets easier to code for, basically. (just to sum up)

get trakir not only will it let you look at all the gauges but you also wont get killed so easy by that airplane that "cheated and disappeared out of sight".

1.) thanks for the info guys...I figured as much on the software!

2.). I have trackir.  Who the bloody hell would invest in a three monitor, obutto wide screen setup with 27" monitors, dual nvidia 570s SLI and NOT get one?  (and yes....I'm bragging)

3.) not sure if you are somehow referencing a real world event that happens to you often, or how my wanting to export game data to external gauges somehow factors into the discussion......but thanks for the input, sempster!

I. never mentioned 3 monitors.  but I wonder why would you want to look at the tiny display on your keyboard when you have very large gauges on that monitor of yours.

If there was a way of doing this, I'd try to make a way for getting physical gauges to work. Best simpit ever.

Why do people climb Everest, or swim across the English Channel?   Why do some people spend lots of time and effort on something as useless as a home "simpit"?  Who knows?  The fun / challenge of getting something to work I suppose.

 if it was gauges fine i understand that even though maybe a handful of people will use it.  but to request it so you can see it on a tiny screen on a keyboard takes development time away from my a26.

this is something more of a cool factor that I really believe will hardly be used.  after all you have the gauges right on your screen why take your eyes off the screen to look for some info that is already displayed on it.

and by the way I am working on my simpit.  and trust me as much I will would be cool to have it is way low on the priority of things that could be added.  as the gauges for a simpit will set you back a pretty penny which pretty much only a handful of people will want to spend that kind of money.
