home sweet home
« on: March 09, 2012, 04:09:20 AM »

this isn't very far off from what it's actually like here, save for all the snow we (usually) get, and all the dead deer hanging from the big tree in the yard in late fall.  what's it like where you live?

here's a few i nabbed from the 'net; Wisconsin at it's finest

man, that is some beautiful scenery.   we have rolling hills, over 10,000 lakes and rivers, and a lot of deciduous forest, but where i live 95% (guess) of the landscape that isn't wooded is farmland.  and sheep are rare here  :aok

Oh please, the U.P. is just an open pit mine where everyone is starving to death because the wolves ate all the deer.

Dude, I don't know about you but I have cabin fever so bad.  The ice is sketchy and I'm sick of staring down a hole, at least trout season is open now it just needs to get warm :bhead  Was so bad I had to go to Gander and wander around buying things I didn't need last night.

We need to hook up and slay some fish one of these years.  Last time I drove to Oshkosh I passed over a bunch of streams on 21 that looked decent.  Do you ever fish the tribs?  Would like to try my hand at some Steelheads or lake run Browns some time.

I live near DFW, but where I play is much more photo worthy so I present: the Frio River in south Texas.

The real problem is anyone should feel like they can come to this forum and make a wish without being treated in a derogatory manner.  The only discussion should be centered around whether it would work, or how it would work and so on always in a respectful manner.

You're right.

Do yourself a favor and stay away from this wretched hellhole. There is nothing to see here.

Love the Hill Country. Best part of Texas in my book. Wish I could live down there.
