BORING!

Whenever I have a weakness and think I might log in, all I have to do is read the boards and remember just how stagnant and boring it is, and that makes me------------> :(

I didn't read any of this thread because I'm sure 82% would have been drivel.

To the OP: I like to drive CV's in close to shore so that we may fight hard and take your bases. I also have a buddy that comes over once in a while, who doesn't own a computer. I let him play AH on my system and he prefers to just shoot ship guns. So we sit around and drink shots and beers and shoot cartoon guns.

IMO make the CVs not count towards total bases taken.

I see potential with this one.
If I had a gun with 3 bullets and I was locked in a room with Bin Laden, Hitler, Saddam and Zipp...  I would shoot Zipp 3 times.

I've gotta say, hiding CV's is a rather **** move to be perfectly honest.

What are you doing besides attempting to avoid a fight, so that you can win the war as quickly and easily as possible?. What if its our only boat, and I enjoy CV battles? Then you are not only being twits, but you're trying to force me to play the game YOUR way.

And as long as he fought in proximity to that CV (say, within visual range), he had just as much if not more right to move that CV to a hot zone than your side did to move it OUT of one.

I mean come on guys, lets be realistic here. No matter HOW you try and twist it, rationalize it, or call it a strategical move, moving a captured CV away to some remote corner boils down to one thing, and one thing only: Avoiding a fight, which is the ENTIRE purpose of the game.
You started this thread and it was obviously about your want and desire in spite of your use of 'we' and Google.

Sounds like we need a wish list thread....................... ......

HTC please add this to the task group screen.........

    Take Command       --------->Mutiny Request (10 countrymen required)<-----------

    Give up Command            Clear Points

:aok   Then former captain is unable to control CV's for 12 hours  :D

This would work. Most of us KN guys are chat banned all the time because of .report abuse.

Seems to all come down once again to the tactial group v the stragetic group: the fur ballers vs the base (horde) takers.

Jude uses the CV as bait to provoke a fight.. Doesn't matter the outcome: CV sunk, or base taken, and CV available for another fight. It doesn't matter the approach or the odds; the sooner the cv is in play, the sooner the fight starts, the better.

Others see the CV as a valuable asset to be used wisely, to not hazard the ship under unfavorable conditions. (including those(of whom I am not one) who would deny the opposition use by hiding it to prevent re-capture should the home port fall)

One thing for sure: you aren't going to get a consensus here. Subject closed.

Well heck!  I see the error of my ways, while I was flying over 56 and providing cap Der Jude who wasn't there in his wisdom turned it straight for the incoming bombers.  That was just to promote a fight and sink the CV defending port 39.  It wasn't enough to control one CV"40" but when he got a chance to turn it for Nit bombers, while why not!

This is so much fun that I have a new policy now.  When he comes to the bish I will go to the nits and do the same that he has done to us!  This is done in the spirit of promoting a fight and who cares if the ship gets sunk

To be honest, bombers have a 50% chance of killing the CV when they fly overhead. It might have looked as if he turned it that way on purpose, but maybe the bombers were good and expected the boat to turn?

How valuable is it really if, once destroyed, respawns 10 minutes later at full health?  In fact, it seems strategically foolish to do anything but bring it directly to shore lines to start up fights.

The thing some of you guys aren't getting is that no matter how you twist it, the only reason you would hide a CV is to exploit an unrealistic flaw in the CV system to deny use of it to your enemys. And that boils down to nothing more than avoiding fights, which is essentially trying to avoid playing the game. Even your 'win teh warz' objective is only there as an engine to drive fighting. In and of itself, the objective is usless, as are the war-win players; their only value to the community is as a source of fighting.

My view on the matter is that if you're not in combat, or in transit to combat, you're detrimental to the game play, as you only tie up server space. If it were upto me, that would be a banning offense.
