Gunner artwork showing "manned" guns
« on: March 10, 2012, 02:38:44 PM »
A new field / vehicle gunner that actually is visible (not imagined) for any undamaged or manned gunner position.  This should work similar to the gunner positions in bombers.

My thought process goes, it is one step closer to a more reallistic visual, and another indicator of potential gunner threats.  Although, I don't think we need the spilling of guts around such a field / vehicle gun, it is a better representation of showing "that guy" is trying to blow you out of the sky.

With the additional pixels, manned guns would stand out a bit more.  From a film standpoint, the guns don't skip several generations in development to remote radar controlled automated defenses.

I hardly ever ask for any eye candy, although I am enjoying the latest additions.  I simply think this is one for the drawing boards (no pun intended)  :P

I'm all for it as long as I can change the sound of the stick guy screaming to the sound of a Jawa screaming  "Utini, utini!!"
The real problem is anyone should feel like they can come to this forum and make a wish without being treated in a derogatory manner.  The only discussion should be centered around whether it would work, or how it would work and so on always in a respectful manner.

:lol You guys are too funny.  Now, I want to alter my wish to include sounds of battle while in field and ship gunner positions.  You know like the warning sounds we get now in a gv,..."I've got incoming......" or the base warning siren and radar warning, "...... spotted 10 miles......"

Then Tmetal can get his wish for "utini!!!!"

Pretty smart of them to fire the biggest guns on the ship up at airplanes.  I've been telling guys in the MA for years that it's best to use the 8" guns on airplanes too.  Especially since you get the tracer effect from the vapor trails.
If I had a gun with 3 bullets and I was locked in a room with Bin Laden, Hitler, Saddam and Zipp...  I would shoot Zipp 3 times.

One thing is for sure, their aim sucks as much as mine does in AH  ;)  along with my luck in any 37 mm gun.

I read of accounts of our ships firing the main batteries into the water in front of attacking torpedo planes.
