Aren't you the one who was mixing different soundpacks, putting the final mix up for d/l, and calling them your own??
by "mixing" others pack you mean useing the same starter sounds hear and there? and mabey a gv sound?
only a moron would use Dolby positioning in a game.

I hope you've asked permission to use the sound files created by others that you're using for your "mix".

Also, when you're done stealing..err mixing your sound pack, please be sure to post the name so I can make sure to avoid it.  I'd rather use the original sound packs from the actual creators than some kid's stolen, mixed mash sound pack.

Oh, so you're not asking permission to use other people's work and then trying to pass it off as your own without giving the original creator any credit.  Sad, very sad.

Listen to what Ack-Ack is trying to tell you, as I did before - Just because you mix a few soundpacks does not mean its your sound pack. You need to design or capture the sound YOURSELF, and believe me its a bit harder then you think.

Do yourself a favor, if you want to post your mixed pack - LIST all the authors you took the sounds from, this will save you the retribution of getting caught later passing off stolen material.

Remember as I said,

I have my own sound pack which is 80% of mixed and 20% mine, I wouldn't bother posting it unless it was 100% mine, another good reason is the 20% is mixed vehicle sounds, and not 1 vehicle is "complete" just a bunch of different engine start ups.

maybe you don't understand what I'm getting at. the engine start sound is one audio file. lets say i put the shot gun starter sound on the Brewster i have to open up the wav. files with a audio editing software and then cut my shotgun starter from ether a real life source or of something i already have. then paste it into the engstart.wav file then clean up the audio so you don't get ticking or sudden changes in pitch. not so simple. all this for a starter sound that is off a CD.

Over the years i've made many sounds for the game...some are used in other peoples packs and some I just used for myself and some are just plain lost on a burnt HD.

I didn't find a readme file with this download and I have a fresh install of AH. I'm assuming I dump these files into the sounds folder and they will override the sounds.res file where needed??
My sounds folder currently has nothing in it but one text file.
Thanx!   :salute
