BBQ in Texas...WWII aviation theme?

Check these out....fully operational RC airplanes hanging from Bubba's BBQ restaurant in Ennis, TX...great ribs too!

I noticed the British P-40 with the teeth... they had them with those?

Yes.

I have seen a photo of a Lancaster with all four engines painted with shark mouths.  It was a common theme.

LOL, your want GOOD BBq, go to "Black's BBQ" (google it you'll find it's close),  They been doing it for nearly 100 years and it's the best brisket, ribs, sausage I ever had in my 30+ years in Texas.    :rock

The Brit P40s of 112 squadron had them before the Flying Tigers.  They were the inspiration for the AVG P40s which were originally intended for the RAF in the Desert but were re-directed to the AVG.  If you want to track it further, the Brit P40s got their inspiration for the shark mouth from ZG 76 Me110s that were operating earlier then that.

I knew vaguely something of the 110s with the shark mouths. Got a poster of it somewhere.

Guys....the PLANES!  Its the RC planes, not the BBQ!! lmao!!  They are enormous and the owner said he flies one or two of them every weekend.  The P-38 is brand new and he hasn't flown that one yet...he said he's too scared so I told him to call any of the 80th guys and they would handle it for him, lol

I wouldent feed my dog Blacks BBQ or Luling market. Airplanes be damed BBQ has ended more friendships than anything else in Texas. But the worst BBQ in Texas beats the crap anywhere else.
