Colored callsigns
« on: March 17, 2012, 11:18:23 PM »
I think everybody should be able to change what color their callsign is for everybody to see. Lets say I'm feeling feminine for a day and want a pink gamertag, I think people should be able to see how feminine I feel. Plus this helps with coordinated missions so people don't get confused. Maybe it will confuse people even more?

no because then it's confusing.  for example people in my squad or vox are in orange.  so I know where they are at all times.  same for missions.

if people start messing around with then it will be hard to coordinate your location with somebody else.

I would like to be to be able to determine a color for my flight leader, a color for my wingman, and a color for the rest of my squadron, but it's not really an issue. No need to make things any more complicated, the fact that I can have allies be green, fellow Jolly Rogers be blue, and my wingman be white is good enough for me.

What about 99% of the people who don't care?

No, some guys are color blind and have their icon colors set in consideration of that.

Besides, 'tis a silly request.

Somewhere in the clipboard, probably preferences, you can change the color of icons to anything your heart desires.

No, I was saying it would be nice if I could have 4 distinct colors (flight lead, wingman, ally, enemy) rather than 3 (wingman, ally, enemy) which is what he have. And I said that I'm fine with what we have. Come on, my post was barely two lines.

Whew. For a second I though I'd been transported in time to Mississippi 1959.

Tune to your "Flight Lead" and you get another color.  Or, male a "mission" with your flight and you get yet another color.

What's that? Five distinct, different colors possible?

Well, i fyou need color coordiantion like that, then maybe you should just sit in the passenger seat of your flight leaders aircraft, or, you can just LISTEN to the guy telling you where your going, what your doing, etc. When somebody is telling me what the Jobby job at hand is, I usually mistake him for my flight leader. Just a thought....juuuuust a thought...
