Deleted the Video8.cfg and only have on detailed water and terrain. Gamma at 1.5 to make noon look like noon not twilight.
So at 512 textures and a default feild of view I don't get that fine wire frame mesh overlay on the terrain. Just low res ground textures and colors. Remember why I use 1024 textures, Hires Pac and 110 FOV.
There is a surprising difference in the content of the video8 files. Always wondered why this happened some times. What's with the ongoing addition of DV's in front of AMD Radeon HD 6700 Series? Feature or Corruption? Over the years I've seen the DV lines 4 rows deep. As soon as the DV line showed up, the game startup slowed down in the tower. Watching the FPS counter it stalls on 48 for a few seconds then continues to 59. Before the DV line showed up the FPS count went straight up to 59.
