Anyone know an AH compatible airspeed indicator?

I am looking to buy one that I can mount on my desk.  If it works with IL2 as well that would be super cool.

AH doesn't yet support external gauges.  IIRC someone on here found a way to make it work but if you're not a programmer I don't think it's going to happen until HiTech decides to make it happen.

With the advent of multi core processors, all of that may be about to change? We should see it say 2 or 3 patches from here?

That really does not help.  You do realize that when one core is accessing memory, all the other cores have to wait to access memory?  The only gains are to be had when the code is loaded into the cache of the processors, which we (nor anyone else) can insure will ever happen.

It is not just the CPU cycles, it is also the amount of system RAM it takes.

So how does MS do it? They have been doing it for quite a while now, what is different from them to htc?

MS isnt doing half of what AH does to begin with.

This would be something that would be nice as a "plug-in" for people willing to risk it maybe. I wish it could happen too but I like AH being as smooth as possible also.

MS does not care about overhead.  They do not care if it takes a super computer to run their products.  They get their money up front.

Aces High has to run on as high percentage of all computers made in the last 5 years, as possible.


The API for those guages is a bit disgusting, if you ask me.
