Some of the questions are good questions.  I asked about the squad issue because I never get attacked personally on the forum, but a few people will verbally attack my squad when they don't like what I have to say about something.

If I had a gun with 3 bullets and I was locked in a room with Bin Laden, Hitler, Saddam and Zipp...  I would shoot Zipp 3 times.

This is akin to watching a class of 5th graders try to nitpick rules... and about as effective.

HiTech is, as far as I can tell, attempting to maintain order and good sportsmanship while at the same time leaving wiggle room for... "robust dialogue".

Continuing to nitpick what is or is not a "personal attack", either because you are attempting to be SlyPaws The Anarchy Squirrel, or simply because you are obtuse is counterproductive.

Would you rather the admin staff resort to Ultra-Fascist CareBear mode where even mild ribbing receives a banhammer JUST in case it may have offended someone?

This isn't rocket surgery, this is the very drivelescent material your mother(s) hopefully drilled or attempting to drill into your forming grey matter at a young age:

1.  If you don't have something nice to say...

2.  Sticks and Stones will indeed break both windows and bones, but name calling will get you a spanking

3.  Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.  If you are soft up top, do unto others as the average person would have done unto them.

Or, or, or... keep poking the badger and see what happens.

This points out an interesting problem these days. To argue a persons idea, or call it foolish, stupid et,c isn't an attack on the person, just the idea. People need to learn the difference.

if I HiTech is stupid, that's a personal attack.

If I say HiTechs decision the hire Scuzzy is stupid, then that's attacking the idea, not the man. Well, I guess it does kinda attack Scuzzy.

It's Especially a personal attack if you don't spell Skuzzys name correctly. :O

We'll call it a Clerickal error  :D

I would say that is an attack, if i understand correctly from the following quote.

I agree to a point... but to me, at least, it's like calling the Germans "krauts" or "gerries" or whatever... it's derogatory, yet begrudgingly honorific... since they are an effective squad and the only "named" source of frustration I have heard (though I have only been back for a bit).

But, I am down for whatever.

This is an important issue that a lot of people have trouble with. People confuse what they do with what they are. This is especially important when raising children so I'll use that as an example. When a child does something wrong some parents will tell the child that they are bad. The child learns to identify themselves as bad which obviously causes problems later on. Other parents will tell the child that what they did was bad and that good children don't do that. This let's the child identify themselves as good, and reinforces the idea that good children behave a certain way and don't do bad things.

Now if you think that's idiotic you may express that opinion, but if you want people to agree then you may have to explain why you have that opinion.

If you HO people in Aces high, you may lose and get mad.

If you get mad, you tell your children that they are bad.

If you tell children they are bad, they will hang out with undesirables.

If your children hang out with undesirables, they will get married to undesirables.

If they get married to undesirables, you will have a grandchild with a dog collar.

Don't have a grandchild with a dog collar.

Don't HO people in Aces High.

Wait...  what was this thread about, again?   :headscratch:

I'm surprised no one in the USA has not seen that commercial. BTW, they still have arcades (11 sec in)?
