I am liquid cooled also but I have fans also for my other items,

2 140mm on top of radiator
1 140 and 1 120 mm pushing air into the case
1 140 mm pulling air out.

But I think this guy went a little berserk

My new system has an antec 200 case with 2 140mm fans, 1 top, 1 back. To that I added a 120mm fan in front for cooling SATA Hard drives. Has a side cover spot for 1 more fan that I have not needed at this point.

With room air at 68 degrees my cores run at 80-95 degrees. HDD is at 84.
GPU likes to run a touch warmer but that is with the fan throttled back.

Starting with a case designed for good airflow helps.

I have one in my laptop, and It's constantly shutting down from overheating :/  Oddly it's because the fan runs sporadically.  Also strange is that after it overheats, and shuts down it's usually good to go and keeps the fan running.

my Intel system uses a Thermaltake Level 10 GT case with the CPU cooler using (2) 120 mm fans ( push/pull )

and it sounds silent..........can not hear it run

cpu is an i7-2600k    XFX 2gig HD6950  16 gig ram  2 SSD's  and a 1.5 TB  HD, and ASUS Xonar sound card...........

my other gaming rig......it's an AMD system was in my old Antec 900 case until I switched it to a new ( White version) Thermaltake Level 10 GT case  it is an AMD Q975  3.6Ghz quadcore, 16 GB ram   X-Fi creative pro sound card   XFX 1GB HD6870 VC, SSD, WD 450 GB Velicoiraptor ( which actually blows the Intel system away ), also CPU cooler is a CPU cooler using (2) 120 mm fans ( push/pull )

both are deathly silent........ both run super cool.....   whatever works for you........

NOTE: just be sure to do alot of research and study before buying any parts to build a new pc.....
