I was still setting my feet when they took that,  but yeah changeup I like an open stance,  I feel like I make better contact. Thx for the advice!  

My dad almost got recruited into the Cardinals Organization, but he dislocated his sholder sliding into 2nd the day a scout came to watch him..  He constantly tells me to keep my hands by my ears and the bat pointed straight up, whats your opinion on this?

I agree with Grizz in that your hands need to be comfy.  If they're comfy and you can get them in the right spot when you load, that's fine.  Keeping the bat head elevated is a must IMO.  It is the beginning of the bat head moving through the zone on the correct plane.  It can even be angled a bit behind your head if that's comfortable as long as it gets elevated when you end your load.

Remember, feet, knees, hands....
