2 issues, echoing in my headset and Pan vision
« on: April 01, 2012, 01:03:50 AM »
I can't get the pan vision to work. It just goes to snap. I've been in view settings and tried everyone.

The echoing is driving me nuts. Not sure what to do about that. Tried echo cancellation but no go.

Any help would be appreciated.

 Getback,

I assume win7 but go into sound, check playback and mute mic! be sure it's active in record,I had this issue with vista and it took forever to figure out what and where the problem was.

Finally I resorted to deleting mic from playback config. and that solved the issue in vista.

As for pan view, look in options, preferences, views, you likely need to uncheck snapview!

       hope that helps.

Haven't quite figured out the snap view but have tried unchecking it.

However the mic issue is solved. Had to go into the mic and then properties and uncheck "Use this as a recording device.

Thanks for the suggestions.

 Get,

Glad I could help, perhaps you have mouse look enabled? this might be intefering with pan view, try unchecking mouse look.

I prefer snap view to pan so I've never experienced what you're talking about, could send a note to support.Maybe Skuzzy can set you on the right path!

Try F7, if you hit F8 it's pan, F7 will return it to snap.

Worth a try at least.

Didn't know that. Read on the help pages that "Shift + M" toggles from pan to snap. I'll give the f8 a shot next time I'm up.
