"SPRITE SEASON BEGINS"
« on: April 01, 2012, 06:52:47 PM »
I just read about this here , http://www.spaceweather.com/  , 2012 doom weather  ! I never seen this kind of electrical discharge/lightning, now  they are saying the "season begins"?  Is this common phenomenon , normal  in south USA?  :headscratch:

Sprites are a normal thing in thunderstorms. In the clear night it looks more like heat lightening.

Sprites are lightning in the tops of the clouds that jumps upward instead of down.

That pic is more like the ball lightning with sprites.
