I tried that myself on the trinity map the other day. Bish and knights (my current team) we're gangin the rooks. Took it upon myself to start a fight with the Bish. Upped my D-40 fully loaded and attacked a base. Wiped out ord, radar, and half the field ack and took a fuel hit that put me down. Zero response from Bish. Upped again with 10 rockets and 1 500lber. Flew back @ 5000ft hoping for a fight. Killed every single hard gun on the base and in town. Dropped 6 buildings with my lone bomb. No response not even an 88. Flew back to base beggin knights to stop the gang in the east and start the fight in the west. No response.
The gangs are rampant on every team and it does get tiresome. Keep saying we need to go to two teams. At least the gang would be honest and ENY would be a factor.

From a tactical standpoint it would've made little sense to divert resources to a lone jug. Sometimes the order of battle calls for bypassing a lesser threat to concentrate on the more pressing business at hand. If you were by yourself looking for a fight there is one to be had 24/7 at furball lake. Fact is there are far too many bases to evenly spread the battle. I will agree however that the physical layout of some maps is condusive to concentrating fights in reletively small areas. This is especially true if the front lines are short and territory deep instead of having a long frontline with many adjacent bases.

No, I am new to Aces High. Apologies for entering the discussion!

You won't fit in here without a lot more banter sir.  You should at least pick a squadron to bash.

Every country hordes when they have numbers, bish just happen to have a squad that makes it an art form (we probably whined when they were rooks for a while).  Seems that we bish were getting horded terribly last night by the rooks!

I've been in the game for about six years and it has always been the same, in fact the same folks seem to be the ones complaining as when I started. (their lives must be miserable after six years of such torture).

The MA is more about SA mixed with a bit of ACM, if that is a bother - go to the DA.  It seems that if the complainers would spend a bit more time adapting to the environment in the MA instead of whining, they might actually find it enjoyable.  I fly, I get shot down and I try to adjust - it keeps the game interesting.

I will admit that I would like to see some changes to allow for a bit more strategic activity instead of "hording" - but it is what it is. I am sure that small changes in the game format could have a large overall impact to game play - not what HT would want to do as a small business. I personally applaud HT's balancing act effort!

Summary - if the game play bothers you so much, quit making the rest of us listen to your suffering and do something to change your routine..........or leave!

I ve been in the Ma before during an event and there was well over 400 people in there. MA definitely isnt just a practice arena for many members of the AH community...just saying.

Isnt it obvious?  The mob mentality induces the "I win" feeling when the 30v1 odds hands them a win.  The people who think that is "fun" are truly missing something.  They have no idea what it is to earn something.  Stop and think about it.  Being able to level a field, have zero resistance, and leisurely waltz a troop carrier in is "fun" to them.  Everyone gets a trophy without having to do anything but just be there.  Lame.  But, to each their own.

I'd rather work like the devil and miss by a fraction of a second/inch, than to win by 30v1 odds.  That isn't defeating the enemy, it is like taking candy from a sleeping baby and that is as boring as it gets.

30v1?  If you're going to fib you should at least use numbers and ratios that aren't completely ridiculous.

I haven't read all of this thread..really don't need to as it is the same old same old...I will however put my nose in and have a say...I used to be of the feeling all sides horde...and yes they still do...but lately I have been swapping sides to fight the big red dars and i found this .... I am almost embarrassed to be bish...You will notice I say almost..... as there are some who do have some semblence of pride/self sustained ability and all round understanding of social interaction...

The bish horde is like a bunch of locusts ..... they come through in a loud buzzing cloud ... many die and fall to the ground on their quest for food..in this case bases.... any kind of resistance is almost futile as they don't care about anything but flattening what is in their path... the fight if any is a couple of guys who will sit up top of the procession and pick any foe who dares try enter ( not very well either) ... the fight they do have consists of nothing more than a zoom pass...each one will have a go but very rarely will they turn for a second.....unless the con has another 4-5 on his tail...then many will join the fight for the tasty an nutritious morsel ... even a sliver can be of huge importance ... on the other side of this ... if you try fight bish any other time they always seem to run .... what the ????.... explains why I'm often left alone with a group of cons bearing down on me...I always thought they were shot down but it would seem they just leave the area hahahaha.....

But bish isn't all bad ... i still have my friend who stays till the end each time hahahaha ... no there is more than one other just being a bit factitious now  :D

Is it a mob mentality or teamwork, horde or commradery? Who are you to decide what is normal fun for all and who has some sort of mental deficiency because they do not like what you like? HiTech was bright enough to incorporate many types of "fun" into this simulation to appeal to the varied tastes of aviation/WWII enthusiasts. To label someone or berrate them because they find fun in an aspect of the game in which you don't is immature at best.
