Um? B29 guys help!
« on: April 06, 2012, 10:08:34 AM »
I'm in destin Florida and I am almost 100% positive a b29 just flew over the beach. I didn't get a pic intime, but it was polished aluminum with a black circle on the tail with a B in the middle.  :headscratch: is there even a flyin b29? Or am I imagining things.

Fifi is the only flying B-29 I believe. It is polished aluminum, and  it has a 'A' in a big black square on the tail. Fifi was in Florida last week, but it doesn't match your description of a 'B' in a black circle.

A couple years ago I was driving at work, right before the annual air show, and I saw an F-22, a P-51D, and a Spitfire flying together wing to wing around the downtown area for about 5 or 6 turns. I got so excited I babbled it on the radio.

Ive never seen FiFi. You are lucky to have glimpsed her. A good day.

If you're positive it was a B-29, it could only be FiFi.

I got to check it out a few weeks ago when it was at a warbirds museum down the street from Kennedy Space Center.

It flew over us the next day escorted by a mustang.

Then a B2 did two low passes over the shuttle landing runway we were using with team audi's lemans crew.

The german guys were very pleased.

Sweet!  I work down the street from her home and I have only been able to catch her in the air twice.
The real problem is anyone should feel like they can come to this forum and make a wish without being treated in a derogatory manner.  The only discussion should be centered around whether it would work, or how it would work and so on always in a respectful manner.

I got to watch FiFi takeoff and land about 10 times while I was at Sun N Fun.
