We have all seen it, or done it, or been 'victims' of it so its time to be honest with ourselves.
Who are we really kidding?
Collisions are usually the result of either:
1) Fixation (Bad SA)
2) Realizations that we might lose a fight, or an opportunity to end a fight that we don't feel up to finishing; so we put ourselves in a position in which the possibility of luck comes more into play then "skill".
The rare time when a collision is completely unavoidable never makes anyone mad or annoyed because they understand that it could not be avoided. Whereas a situation in which someone *knows* they could have avoided it but did not try, is what makes them angry. They are not angry at the Front-end based system or the other person, in reality they are angry at themselves for listening to "that little voice" and allowing the situation to unfold.
I am not Dr. Phil; I am just another casual flight sim player (like most players are) who knows these things because he has done these things in the past and for the same reasons mentioned. Even a complete newbie would try his hardest to avoid a ramming situation by jerking his stick crazily (most likely dying in a stall from said movement), because its the normal, default instinct. Its only those with heavily invested feelings and emotions in these situations would not.
