I had history with both, and avoided both. Neither impacted my online gameplay directly after that point, at least not often. I have been here since a year ago November and think I know their history quite well. This is not happy news, but it may have been necessary.
Forget taking sides. It is troubling to me that our race tends to glorify people of talent to the point we will ignore actions that would land the rest of us in prison. We look at all the trouble our sports celebrities get into, our politicians, our actors- if we as "common" people did half the things they do we would wind up locked away. Still we allow them to walk away incident after incident and ignore the obvious- they are living as an example for all of us, good or bad. With such high-profile personalities scoffing at authority it becomes more normal behavior for the rest of us. The community suffers.
Forget about who's a good stick, or called sixes, or is a nice guy to a few people. Ask yourself fairly that if this was your business, your money, your livelihood at stake would you tolerate someone challenging you on a regular basis? Some will lump me in with the "ass-kissers" for this, and now don't like me. But suppose in my scenario above you are the owner and I am the person getting in your face. Still think you could put up with me day-in and day-out?
I made several posts last fall about how I felt the community was falling apart. Several others saw this as well. It got to the point I left for a while because I could not stand it anymore (coupled with a new job and schedule). I came back mainly because my brother flies and I missed being involved in it with him. Still, I think we can all agree that things have gotten much worse since last fall, and I think most would probably agree something should be done. What that something is is not up to me, but I do support any move that will improve the nature of the community.
