Top 10 K/D pilots in each fighter
« on: April 05, 2001, 07:50:00 PM »
OK, before you look at these, I'll should explain how they were calculated.  I felt a minimum number of kills was required to qualify for the list.  I also felt that this number should vary by aircraft usage.  I calculated the minimum number of kills required by taking the 10th place pilots kill total and dividing it by two.  I also set 100 as the upper minimum, so in planes like the F4u-1C and N1K2, 100 was minimum required.

I only had to make one detour from the above for reasons that seem perfectly fine to me.

So, without further adeu:

A6M5b
Bf 109F-4
Bf 109G-10
Bf 109G-2
Bf 109G-6
C.202
C.205
F4u-1C
F4u-1D
F6F-5
Fw 190A-5
Fw 190A-8
Fw 190D-9
Fw 190F-8
La-5FN (tie for 10th) La-7
N1K2
P-38L
P-47-D25
P-47-D30
P-51B
P-51D
Seafire
Spitfire Mk IX
SpitV
Ta 152H
Tempest
Typhoon IB
Yak-9T
Yak-9U

The stats for total kills can still be found in this thread:

 http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/Forum1/HTML/009063.html

Lazs disclaimer:
Once again, please remember these are simply numbers.  No attempt is being made to claim pilot competence.  Please take them for what they are worth.

DOH!  I'll have to fix it tomorrow.  The spreadsheet is currently crunching away on the top 10 vs each aircraft list.  That should be a real fun one

Feel free to tell us how you did in the Dora Wulfe

The 10th place pilot in the Dora had 107 kills.  That means a minimum of 53 kills were required to qualify for the list.
