Stats are up. Looks like the allies pretty much got spanked. No wonder I ran into a full strength squadron at the end of the frame.

Allies did everything successfully but the last. Taking A-40.

My biggest mistake was diving into the hornets nest at forty and holding my eggs. I should've let em fly on the first pass and extend a bit but I held them to line up a better run. On the second pass, I was too slow and wound up with 4 red guys behind me. One being a 262. Had no hope of escape at that point.

I missed a 200yd or closer deflection shot on ya, I watched the film viewer because I could not believe i missed that shot.

Maybe so but we paid a heavy price. Killed at a rate of almost 2 to 1.

Allies missed the factories at A42 all together.

Unless they were struck? I was over the factories and nothing was hit, I caught the b-26's on the deck trying to b-line to the factories, however they completely ignored them - I'm assuming they hit elsewhere?

I know that the group of 51s I flew with were no help at all. The group leader stated before we even took off that his main goal was to just survive because he hated GVing  . Out of the 9 pilots in our group, not 1 P-51 got a single kill although on two separate occasions I had 3 190s engaged on the deck ripe for the pickin'.

I really wish that the guys afraid to fight in a P51 would just stay out of them. All they do is give a great aircraft a bad rep.  :old:
I agree with you uptown, everytime i was cruising around 25-29k i would see the Ponies just circling at what seemed to be 29.9k lol, the first engagement over 109, there were multiple 109s and 190s around 10-20k, the P47s were mainly the aircraft i saw engage, I can't remember what the Tempests or Typhoons did, our squad leader Dace, did an excellent job with the 5 spit14s, but the problem was, they cant dive like 51s, at 500, i could barely roll to either direction, and like Butcher was saying, he was 400mph at times in a 262, if the 51s had used their superb diving ability, it woulda helped besides patrolling at 30k the whole time, but all in all it was still fun, and couldnt ask for any better :rock  :salute
