Bought in november, the 9th month, failed in April, the 4th month.  9 minus 4 equals 5.  So he still has a month left.

If you are going to try and slam someone about their math skills, you might want to ensure yours are up to snuff first....

It was bought in the 9th month, a year has 12 months, so that would be 21 months plus the 4 months of this year makes it 25.  So it's 19 months out of warranty.

Sheesh, I'm going to have to close up shop if I keep giving stuff away.

heres another one. If you want to know if a number is divisible by 3 you add all the digits until you get a single digit number. If that number is divisible by three then so is the original. If it's an even number then it is also divisible by 6.

eg.

is 1,527 divisible by 3?

1 + 5 + 2 + 7 = 15 (divisible by 3)
1 + 5 = 6 (divisible by 3)

But, since 1,527 is an odd number it is NOT divisible by 6, only 3.

MMM, I don't think so. A year would be September 2012. we are not there yet. So it can't be over a year out of warranty.

There were three months left in 2011, after the purchase, we are now in the forth month of this year, so 3+4=7. It's about a month out of warranty, or as Bodhi pointed out less than three weeks.
