I think it would be absolutely fantastic to have an AAR at the end of each flight in each Arena.  Example from "Out of the Sun - Frame 1":

Pand
14:11:09 Departed from Field #122 in a P-51D
14:31:07 Destroyed a fuel bunker at base #08
14:32:01 Destroyed a fuel bunker at base #08
14:32:40 Destroyed a fuel bunker at base #08
14:41:39 Shot down a Ki-84-Ia flown by PilotName.
15:22:24 Arrived Safely at Field #1

It would look very similar to all the logged items that are in the FSO/Event Logs plus changes in score statistics like:
- Arena sortie was flown in.
- Overall Hit % for the sortie.
- Kill Points Awarded.
- Total Objects Destroyed
- Total Aircraft Shot Down
- Perk Points Awarded, etc

Either have it pop up automatically upon getting returned to the tower after a sortie, or have an option to spawn the "Last Flight AAR" from the clipboard menu.  Would also be nice to have a button that would export to a text file in the Aces High folder, similarly to what is done for screenshots.

I was reading the General forum and came across a post that spawned this expansion on the generic idea: http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/index.php/topic,332234.0.html

Plus 11111111! great idea.
Blue Skies and wind at my back and wish that for all!!!

good idea, hopefully if implemented more readable than a real AA report. I have a page from my brigade site that covered a few days of action 44 years ago. It's a little hard to read, events clustered, no spacing or paragraphs. But I do feel for the probably 18yr old clerk typist that had to decipher whatever radio logs and scribbled notes to produce these reports.  I was in 4/12th on those days covered in the report so I have kept a copy for many years.

Add it to the scores page and wipe it clean everyday. That way it doesn't load up the text buffer nor does it add more data to the packets. Info is stored server side and accessed through the web page. Type your name, hit a button and it loads your AAR for the day.

that would make more sense.  would really hate having to press a button when trying to up fast just to close the action report that 99.99% of the time nobody really cares what it is.

If too difficult to crank out interface in game, maybe an export product to a subfolder in screenshots.  Just a thought.  This idea would also be great for videomakers since they could reference the log and jump right to the part in their recording.  For this reason I'd also request that in addition to the conventional "time index" found in the film viewer IE "0:00-05:15," a "log time" also be displayed based on the time of day in the day IE "15:20:00-15:25:15L."

All this data is already there as it is used on the scores pages. They also have the ability mine to compile the data because the scenarios have the after action reports available on their web page. All there seems to be needed would be for Skuzzy to add it to the web page.

I would vastly prefer a kind of flight log on my local disc, just like films. That way there would also be no additional web resources be required. Simple text file in your "logs" folder.

All ideas sounds great, I'm not partial to how I get the data, just that it is accessible!

Maybe a clipboard option calling up an AAR for the last sortie you finished, so after landing and in the tower or after re-upping and climbing-out we can pull it up to review.

Maybe also in some form of temporary generated *.txt file in teh game directory, so after completeing "that" sortie, you can go into your AH directory and save a copy of it to your desktop.

Why temporary? Films aren't temporary either...
That would be a tremendous hassle to minimize AH after every sortie to copy that log file.

I like the idea. +1

I also like and asume you mean it is a saved record. So If I up before checking the clip board in the hangar, I still have a way of knowing how many points, and perk points I earned on a sortie.

Seems to me it might be too much junk after so long.... similar to films but potentialy worse if it automaticly logs one for each individual sortie...

They are still much smaller than any film or even a picture. And you could make auto-logging an option.

Creating a temorary log only for the last sortie would render it almost useless. In a heated battle I simply don't have the time for the alt-tab copy'n'paste alt -tab routine between sorties.
