I would say in that case, you would be able to turn off the auto save feature from the beginning as you can now and won't even have to use the AAR feature if you are in that much of a hurry, but I suppose I would be OK with it being tied to the film as well.

it would make it easier when making movies if you knew at which point a plane got damaged or a kill recorded. but if you have selected both auto film and auto summary then only one box should be enough to save both or only one if either one was selected.  the way I have it now I can up a plane fast and click save or cancel film while iam already on the runway, but it would take twice as long to press two boxes while the base is under attack.

that's the only reason.

Yes I read the WHOLE thing...did you?

then you dont realize you dont need a summary to tell you how to maximize your scoring points as it is not a secret.  and it doesnt matter how many points you get if you damage a plane as it varies so much from battle to battle.  even hitting objects wont be the same as you may not necessarily hit the same number with the same amount of ords or bullets.  so in the case you want it for it may just confuse the hell out of you because you will see a big difference in points between one report and the other.

you can hit the center of town with 1 4k bomb and you wont land the same amount of points.  just like you can kill a plane but not necessarily get the same amount of points.   which for the reason you want it would be almost useless.  unless of course you are good enough to come to a conclusion that if you kill a plane with 50 bullets it gives you the most points.  but can you be accurate enough to do it?  will you be counting the bullets as you fire?  can you drop 1 bomb and be accurate enough to hit the same number of buildings every time?

Looking a the film, and then seeing the recorded points, would be useful. When I land now, I don't get the points at all. Unless I wait for the server to log them, and check my points before and after each sortie from the web site. Then I only get a total. Not what I got for each thing I hit. there can be all kinds of detail in an Action report, but once we have one, we can ask for more detail. You said I allready know how many points I get for destroying an 88mm flak gun? How many?  How any damage points for downing a spitsteen by taking his wing off vs pumping all my ammo into a B-17?
Statistally, do I get more points if I take my lanc formation and bomb a town, or the strats, or a buildings on a base?

not sure why you are claiming that none of this is new or useful information.  :salute

because when it comes to score it's treated different.  lets say you pump all your bullets into a b17 but dont kill it.  you hill all 3 of them you and you fly away undamaged.  you didnt get a kill but you hit% goes up a lot but  but the other 4 scores may either go down or stay the same.  if you understand how score works then you will understand that an action report is really meaningless when it comes in that context.  ask around what is the best way to up your score and they will tell you the basics.  but the action report wont help you a bit as  it will confuse you more than help you.

you are thinking i the way if I kill 1 gun/object my score will go up this number of points.  it doesnt work like that, at least not how I understand it.

me, i just want the action report attached to the film so I dont have to go look thru a 1 hr film looking for that one kill.  :salute
