K key trim issue
« on: April 18, 2012, 05:12:15 PM »
So I'm trying to get back into the game, was flying around my beloved 109k4 yesterday and dove from the heavens and found myself in compression. No big deal, I can recover with the k key......WRONG! The plane pitched down STEEPER and I became a smoking hole in the ground. I looked at the key mapping, and nothing had changed. I tried to duplicate the problem and sure enough, pressing the k key dumps in ALL of my nose down trim, even though its mapped for nose up. Do I need to buy a new keyboard? What's the scoop?

I'm having an issue with my analog trim. It never wants to go above neutral but will trim nose down just fine. And yes, I have calibrated it.

Mine is doing that now.

Make sure you center the analog axis when you're done calibrating it within AH and before clicking 'done or ok'. Otherwise, you'll only get + or - trim up to the neutral position.

I noticed this as well. I was "diving" in a P-38 and compressed. I mashed the 'k' on my keyboard and saw no noticeable response. I still managed to pull out; cannot tell you how as I was blacked out. But during the entire blackout I continued to hold the 'k' down. I just figured it was me or my crappy stick.
