Live ticker on webpage

A live ticker on the HTC main page showing all global SYSTEM messages in the main arenas: Landed kills and damages, base captures and SEA announcements.

A ticker that shows Changes in Top Players, Ranks, Arena player count, Active arenas/etc every minute or so?

Sort of emulate the Stock Market ticker thingy?

Ranking data is figured only once a day, even so, that info would change very slowly and look static anyway. A continuous roll of system message would show "activity", people having "fun" and so on. I think that would add more people than seeing a few names at the top of the board.

Exactly my thinking. The "get your name on the frontpage" would hardly apply with so many things happening and scrolling by, especially to someone stumbling over the AH site - all those literally hundreds of names would say nothing to him. But he could see that there is action, something that some other games only promise

Of course, us "regulars" could use it to lessen the effects of "cold turkey", when not being able to play (at work, on travels and so on) 
Or you could see that someone is just rolling undefended bases in EW again... and feel tempted to jump in and say "hi"

system messages only and  maybe total player numbers.  I'm not sure whether HTC wants the world to know how many dweebs are battling it out in the arenas but I think it would act as self promotion.

When other competitors are spewing "MMO"  as 32 player arenas  and HTC has 400+ people online, new users will be able to go   I want some of that.   I don't know whether the positives out weigh the negatives but it would be pretty cool.  


EDIT:   just realised  spouses or partners could login to the website and check whether your online when you shouldn't be
