Some days are better than others...
« on: April 21, 2012, 04:42:39 PM »
and today was a good day :)

flying middle in a three ship right echelon formation of t-6 texans. It takes a bit of practice but if you are proficient in formation flying in AH you will take to it like a duck to water if you ever get the chance to do some real world formation flying training.

I've always wanted to try formation flying. I've done it plenty of times in AH and it's quite fun once you get the hang of it. Lately I have been thinking about taking some flying lessons and eventually getting a pilot license. My father, grandfather, uncle, and great uncle have all gotten their pilot license. Seems to be a family thing that goes on. :)

Nice pics. Here's a USN basic training manual on formation flying if you're interested.

That's always fun  :aok

At times like these I always start wishing I had a better camera.

Nice!

I was in a Cessna 150 once upon a time and had a Cessna 172 settle in at my 4 O'Clock (with permission, of course).  Kind of rush buzzin' around at 80mph in formation.   :D
