Just bought my first firearm

I can't believe nobody bought this before me. I got there the last 30min before the gunshow ended.

This wouldn't be the gun show at the Dulles Expo Center would it?  :noid

BTW nice gun.  A real piece of history you have there now don't uplift it up.

Ah because the one at the Expo center ended today, it has a pretty good selection of everything and I go there occasionally.

Very nice.  Trace the SN and find out the actual date of manufacture.  FYI: that is more of an investment and conversation piece than it is a shooter.  Dont get me wrong, it probably can shoot just fine but if you want a shooter then go buy a Rock Island 1911A1.  They are less than $400, and what you have is worth far more than that.   :aok

Nice rifles serenity  :aok you got to love the economy and shootability of the SKS, and the garand is just a beautiful gun any way you look at it.
The real problem is anyone should feel like they can come to this forum and make a wish without being treated in a derogatory manner.  The only discussion should be centered around whether it would work, or how it would work and so on always in a respectful manner.

Correct.  It's a reproduction though, not an original.  Fun to shoot though, and more accurate then you would expect from a smooth bore shooting round balls.
