Offline Drone Inprovments
« on: April 24, 2012, 06:33:15 PM »
1.Is there anyway to make the offline drones React to your Plane on Field Fla
k Instead of going around in loose circles it would make it allot more fun to play offline. 2.Making the Drones more Durable and fight back as on the CV and Base auto
Flak Is this to much to ask? Just wondering if you Guys at HTC Can Add this  :headscratch:  :salute Hitech  and cheers for Making this Great MMO

Can't you do something equivalent to this with the Mission Editor?

Offline drones are already pretty durable IIRC, fairly sure they would fly along with no wings or engine and on fire. If you fly over enemy fields then there will be flak firing at you and you can (or at least could) take damage, also you can destroy them :aok

I always thought a figure 8 drone pattern would have covered basic gunnery in the game a bit better. Escpecially now with the 88 in the game.

Oops, just thought of this.

A menu choice of 3 patterns for the drones to fly over the feild. Another drone menu choice for GV so you can place them at longer distances to practice ranging with the Tanks optics, 17lb and 88 AP. I still think a drone pattern where the drones dive down to the runway, fly down it, climb up, nose over and repeat would at least give budding young Wirbelers good MA practice for defending a feild against the hoards. I know...the Mission editor.

Has anyone ever thought that if players cannot build the gunsights I give detailed directions for that they probably won't have much success with the Offline Mission Editor? It reminds me a bit of learning and using MS Excel. I know, the size of the game  download package would bloat up otherwise we could add all these wishes..... :)

You know chaps, a sticky in the top of this section:-

Explaining simply how to install and use Offline Missions might be very helpful  :old:

I've attempted to explain offline missions here:

http://techvideoreview.com/FlightSimMovies/AcesHigh/Ah2Missions/Ah2OfflineMissionsFullPage.htm

Among the missions I've published there, newcomers should pay particular attention the first one listed ("Peabody Simple"), because the associated documentation includes video clips and text instructions for absolute beginners. It really isn't difficult to load an offline mission for use in practice. With a small additional effort you can change the planeset used in any mission.

Can missions be programmed to just keep supplying and resupplying targets?
(Drones blowup and immediately reappear.)
