Some very excellent metal in this thread. However since this is a WWII themed forum no metal thread would be complete without Sabaton!

Pretty Epic...

I also like the Manowar Album:  Gods of War, it's a very Wagnerian Metal Opera, my fist stays raised to the sky for that whole album.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qj15NEdwB1c -- Someone needs to do an AH Video to this song...   :rock

Also The Varingian Way by Turisas is another great album with a well blended mix of songs that tell a story of a voyage from Finnland through Russia down the Dneiper to the Black Sea and onto the gates of Constantinople.  I know I've posted this song in previous metal threads, but this is one of my favorite albums, and definately a wonderful song.

Can't never go wrong with some Pantera  ;)

And here's a sick cover of Pantera's "A new level" by 5FDP

And one that's really caught my ear is "The Tragic Truth" by 5FDP.

Trooper is a great song, I think some other are better though.

And today's pick.

Gonna keep doing the song of the day, if you gent's don't mind.

Also, last night I found out that KISS and Mötley Crüe are playing literally 3 miles from my house this August, adding the the increasing list of concerts I'm going to this summer (3 including Crüe/KISS I've already bought tickets to). Very excited time for me.

And in celebration, two song's of the day, my favorite songs from Mötley Crüe and KISS

KISS-God of Thunder
Mötley Crüe-Kickstart My Heart

I stick to 80s metal, Iron maiden and Judas priest - not so much death metal, anyone who can't sing can scream into a mic.

Top bands:
Judas Priest
Ozzy Osbourne
Bathory
Slayer
Divine Decay
Megadeth
Metallica before 1986

I tend to lean on NWOBHM and Thrash/Viking.

Love me the Pagan/Folk/Viking sub-genre.  More than anything I think I just like the instruments they work into their work.  This band uses tin whistles, bagpipes, violins, hurdygurdys and all sorts of other stuff and blends it well:

I liked the Album Spirit, I think they kind of fell off after that...  but Spirit was overall a great Folk Metal album.
