No thank you, we have too many jets as it is.  carry on.

+1 for MiGs
+2 for F-14s
+7 for Super Hornets

(MiGs would be cool, but I don't think they'll make a huge impact in the LWA).

less then no impact. . . and they will die in scenerio/fso like they did during the war.

but ya, I want to see someone take this to the limit and show me I am wrong to think its a cap plane.

I agree we need more Russian planes, but let us focus on the successful models first (imho)

I'm surprised the runstang club wouldn't want the fastest early war fighter.

Mig3 was also available with 5 guns.

Source?

Yak-1, Yak-7 and Yak-3 would be my choices for next Soviet fighters.

Between the LaGG-3, Mig-3 and Yak-1, all were instrumental to the defense of Moscow and Early War, right now if we had a barbarossa scenario what planes are we going to have? I-16 only?

Sure nothing is special about them - weak guns and none out perform a 109F - however its relevant to History so they should be added to Aces High eventually, just like the Yak-3 and He-111.

On a side note, if we ever added the laGG-3, the leningrad front would be quite fun - Finnish Buffalos against LaGG-3's vs 109F's.

I think if you do a 1942 scenario you can throw in P40s and Mig-3's.

Yes I'd love to see these aircraft added as well.

Mig 3 was available with 3x UBS 12.7 guns when running the gondolas.

More than 100 came with 3x UBS 12.7 instead of the the 7.62s.

More than 200 came with 2x UBS 12.7 and 6x RS82 rockets.

72 were used with 2x20mm cannons.......surely more of these flew than the P63 in battle.

Aleksandr Pokryshkin scored many of his 53 confirmed kills in a mig3 because he flew to it's strengths and used it's superior speed to dictate the fight under his terms.

Nr_RaVeN,

You misunderstand me.

He posted a wish with no reasons given.  When asking for Russian fighters there are some obvious choices that should be added before the MiG-3, notably the LaGG-3, Yak-1, Yak-7 and Yak-3, so in advocating for the MiG-3 it would be nice to see an argument for it being added over the Yak-1 and LaGG-3, perhaps the Yak-7 too.
